At Fernando, you raise your glass, where spirits flow and good time last”

Our Story

Fernando began as a simple store but carries a rich and poignant story. Its origins are a blend of sweet and bitter experiences, much like the balance of life and alcohol.

Born from genuine love, Fernando is the creation of a mother-daughter bond that thrived on mutual inspiration and strength. Fernanda Escobin was only 22 when she lost her mother, leaving her to navigate life on her own. In an effort to cope, she immersed herself in work, juggling various ventures—from selling PPEs to food items like kimchi and longganisa—while maintaining a regular job during the pandemic. Despite the challenges, she eventually focused on her family’s textile business, working without pay until she could earn enough to start her own enterprises, including an auto repair shop and a water refilling station.

However, the relentless pace caught up with her, and she realized it was time to confront the grief she had been avoiding. Out of this period of reflection and healing, Fernando was born—a space that offers comfort and joy, much like what Fernanda herself needed during her darkest times.

Fernando is more than just a store; it’s a narrative of resilience, rooted in its European name, which is just a letter away from Fernanda’s own. It’s also a nod to ABBA’s iconic 70s hit, a song that resonates with many. Today, Fernando stands in Canlalay, Biñan, Laguna, offering a wide selection of liquor accompanied by good music, ready to uplift spirits in both sorrow and celebration.
